Cheesy Chicken Packets with Bechamel Sauce

Ingredients
  • 6 Tortillas
  • For Filling
  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 100 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 Cloves of garlic
  • 2 tsp Mint
  • 2 tsp Thyme
  • 200 ml Tomato puree
  • For Covering
  • 600 ml Milk
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 3 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tsp Black pepper
  • 150 g Mozzarella (or kaşar)
Instructions
    For Filling
  1. Mix the soy sauce, water, 2 tbsp of olive oil, salt, paprika and crushed garlic in a bowl.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bowl and cover them with the mixture.
  3. Place the chicken breasts on an oven tray which is covered with baking paper. Poir the leftover liquid in the bowl on top of the breasts.
  4. Preheat the oven at 180°C. (fan mode on)
  5. Cook the chicken breasts in the oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Take the breasts out from the oven and leave the tray on the counter to cool down for 5 minutes.
  7. Take the breasts on a cutting board and chop them into little cubes.
  8. Transfer the cubes into pan, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Start cooking in medium heat.
  9. After the pan heats up, add the tomato puree and herbs on top. Keep stirring for 4-5 minutes.
  10. Then take the pan off the burner and leave it on the counter to cool down.
  11. For Bechamel Sauce
  12. Take the butter and oil into a pot and heat it up. Add the flour on top and start cooking in medium heat while you keep stirring.
  13. When the flour gives out its scent, which takes a couple of minutes, pour the milk on top.
  14. This time, stir it with a whisk until it boils. Finally add the salt and pepper, cook for 2 more minutes and take it off the burner.
  15. Leave it on the counter to cool down.
  16. For the Packets
  17. Lay down a tortilla on the counter. Place 2 tablespoons of the chicken stuffing onto the center.
  18. Close the sides of the tortilla to make a tight packet. Flip it upside down and place it on a baking tray.
  19. Repeat it for each tortilla.
  20. Pour the bechamel sauce on top of the packets and sprinkle the top with the cheese you grated.
  21. Preheat the oven at 190°C. (fan mode on)
  22. Bake the packets for 20 minutes.
