Ingredients
  • 450 g Flour
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 250 ml Water
  • 1/2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • For Frying
  • 200 ml Vegetable oil
Instructions
  1. Mix the yeast, water, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  2. Add the flour on top slowly while you keep mixing.
  3. The dough should be non-sticky. When the dough reaches that state, pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix it. This way you will get a softer dough.
  4. Wrap the bowl and let it rest in a warm place for an hour.
  5. After 1 hour, take small pinches out of the main dough and roll them out with your fingers into circles.( 4-5 cm diameter)
  6. With your fingertips, open a small hole at the center. This way the inside will be evenly cooked.
  7. Pour the frying oil into a pan and heat it up.
  8. Place some circles (usually 2-3 at a time) into the pan and fry each side for 2 minutes. Don't forget to reduce the temperature for every batch, this way you won't overheat the oil.
  9. Repeat this process for all pişi.
  10. Bon appetit!
