    For Marination
  • (If you do not have a lot of time, you can skip the marination step.) Place the sliced steak pieces into a large bowl. Pour the milk and oil on top and add the paprika. Mix throughly.
  • Cover the bowl and let it rest in the fridge overnight.
  • For Sandwich Bread
  • Add the yeast, 150 ml of water, sugar and 1 tablespoon of melted butter in a large bowl and mix throughly.
  • Dissolve the salt in the other half (150 ml) of the water in a glass and pour it into the first bowl. Add the flour slowly while stirring and then knead the dough until the dough is uniform.
  • Lastly pour the vegetable oil and gather the dough. Cover up the bowl and let it rise for at least half an hour.
  • Pinch off fist sized pieces out of the main dough and give them sandwich bread shape.
  • Placed the sandwich shaped dough pieces on an oven tray which you covered with a sheet of baking paper beforehand.
  • Preheat the oven at 190℃. (Do not use fan mode)
  • Sprinkle some water over the sandwiches and bake the bread for 20 minutes. (You can start preparing the filling while waiting for the breads to be ready.) When they are baked, let them rest on the counter while you prepare the fillings.
  • For Steak Filling
  • Wash the steak slices under hot water. Pour the olive oil on a pan and heat the pan up.
  • Place the steak slices on the pan and start stirring. They will release some juice into the pan while cooking and slowly they will absorb it back.
  • When the slices absorb all the juice, pour one ladle of water on the steaks and keep stirring.
  • When the first ladle of water evaporates, add 3 tablespoons of butter and another ladle of water. Keep stirring until the water evaporates again.
  • Keep adding water until 1 L of water is depleted. After the last ladle of water, add the spices, salt and soy sauce. Keep stirring until the steak slices are cooked throughly.
  • For Serving
  • Cut the sandwich breads in half and brush the rest of the melted butter on the insides.
  • Place the steak slices and (recommended) caramelized onions into the sandwich breads. They are ready to serve!
  • Bon appetit!

Notes
