Crispy Mashed and Baked Potato Puffs

  • Boil the potatoes until they soften, then peel and mash.
  • Add breadcrumbs, starch, salt, black pepper and spices. Mix thoroughly.
  • When the mixture comes together, place it on an oven tray covered with baking paper.
  • Slightly flatten the potato batter and cut it into equal squares.
  • Pinch off every square of the batter and roll it between your palms until you get a ball shape.
  • Place the potato balls on the tray, and make sure they are at least 2-3 cm apart.
  • Flatten softly each potato ball with the help of a fork.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F), and use the fan mode.
  • Bake the potato puffs for 15 minutes until they become golden.
