Potato Puree and Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

    For Potato Puree Stuffing
  • Boil the potatoes in boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
  • Peel and mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl.
  • Place the mashed potatoes and butter on a pan, add milk and heavy cream. Cook until it boils then add the spices.
  • Keep stirring in low heat until it becomes denser. Take it away from the burner and let it rest on the counter.
  • For Meatballs
  • Mix the minced meat, bread crumbs, egg, spices and ketchup in a large bowl.
  • To prepare the meatballs for stuffing divide the mixture into half-fist sized pieces.
  • Lay down a piece of baking paper on the counter. Place one piece of meat on top.
  • Place another layer of paper on top of the meat and start rolling it out with a rolling pin above the second layer of paper.
  • Roll out until you get a circle. Put one tbsp of potato puree mixture, one tbsp of grated parmesan and one tbsp of grated mozzarella on one half of the circle.
  • Close the other half of the circle on top of the stuffing with the help of the baking paper.
  • Seal the sides with your fingertips.Repeat this for each meatball. Place the meatballs on an oven tray which you covered with a layer of baking paper.
  • Preheat the oven at 180°C. (fan mode on)
  • Cook the meatballs for 20 minutes.
  • Bon appetit!

Notes

You can serve with fries or garlic bread.
