  • Mix the yeast, water, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Add the flour on top slowly while you keep mixing.
  • The dough should be non-sticky. When the dough reaches that state, pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix it. This way you will get a softer dough.
  • Wrap the bowl and let it rest in a warm place for an hour.
  • After 1 hour, take small pinches out of the main dough and roll them out with your fingers into circles.( 4-5 cm diameter)
  • With your fingertips, open a small hole at the center. This way the inside will be evenly cooked.
  • Pour the frying oil into a pan and heat it up.
  • Place some circles (usually 2-3 at a time) into the pan and fry each side for 2 minutes. Don't forget to reduce the temperature for every batch, this way you won't overheat the oil.
  • Repeat this process for all pişi.
